the thunder at the track of champions! Fonda
Speedway boasts over 50 years of championship dirt track racing
just off exit 28 of the New York State Thruway at the Montgomery County
Fair
Grounds; less than 30 minutes from Albany. This
famous egg shaped half-mile oval has seen the likes of Richard
Petty, Bobby Allison, Shirley Muldowney, Pete Corey, Steve Kinser,
Brett Hearn
and Jack Johnson just to name a few.
Racing action Saturday nights
April thru September
Pit gates open at 3:00 pm
Front gates open at 4:00 pm
Racing action begins at 6:00 pm
Saturday nights include
Big Block Modified, Sportsman, 602
Limited Crate Sportsman, Pro Stock, Street Stock and UMP divisions
2010 special events include ICE JAM, the Thunder On The Thruway
Series 50 and 60 lap modified events with Fonda Speedway and Utica
Rome
Speedway teaming up, the O'Reilly
ALL STAR 410 SPRINTS, LUCAS OIL LATE MODEL DIRT SERIES, two ESS
Sprint events including their 2010
championship
finale in September, the 305 Race Saver Sprints and the season
finale McDonalds 100 lap Thunder Series Championship event.
Fireworks in July and a spectacular night full of suprises on BBL
night of features August 15th.

published weekly includes the latest updates on your favorite drivers,
the
current champions and the champions to be and is available at the
ticket gate.

TRACK POLICIES:
1. No smoking in grandstand.
2. Be courteous to fans seated around you. Track reserves
the right to remove any rowdy or disruptive patron.
3. Concessions are on a $1 system. Change booths are
located on midway by novelty stand and by gate 2 entrance.
4. Birthday and other announcements should be brought to the
novelty stand (not the announcers' booth).
5. Spectator may save seat with a blanket. Blankets must be
removed at the end of racing program.
Blankets may not be placed on top three rows of covered
grandstand.
Track takes no responsibility for lost or missing blankets.
Blanket owner must "use it or lose it" by end of warm-ups.
6. Winner Circle presentations - The official VIP hostess will
escort the VIP sponsor of the night across the track to Victory Lane.
Media persons with track credentials may cross the track to Victory
Lane at that time. NO other person may cross the track to
Victory Lane at this time. Anyone who would like team/family
photos should go to the photo booth, located in front of the
grandstand,
and make arrangements with photographer's staff to take photos
following racing program.
7. No re-entry
8. No coolers. Track, at the sole discression of
security, reserves the right to search any carry in. NO GLASS
ALLOWED.
9. Beer is available at concession on midway. No alcohol
may be carried in.
10. Pit patrons may cross to grandstand area through pedestrian gate by
turn 4. Gate is opened when cars are not racing.
For your safety, do not stand in pit area by this gate.
11. All children should be accompanied by an adult.
12. Do not climb or hang on fence. Stay away
from fence during the racing action.
Racing is a dangerous sport. You attend these races at your own
risk. Management assumes no liability for
injuries to body or damage to property while attending racing event.
